As the Shipping Manager you will,

  • Support and develop the team to increase performance, engagement, and create a succession plan
  • Oversee and manage all shipping activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners and internal teams to streamline supply chain operations.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve cost efficiency in the shipping process.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all shipping activities and transactions.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipping processes.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management on shipping performance.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Shipping Manager should have:

  • Experience in logistics or shipping operations, ideally within the chemicals industry.
  • A strong understanding of supply chain processes and procedures, including Dangerous Goods trained in Air (IATA ICAO), Sea (IMDG), Road (ADR)
  • Proficiency in using relevant software, and support ERP development in this area
  • Passion for team management and development
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders effectively.
