An excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to work client side for a reputable privately owned education provider. You will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of modernisation projects to a UK wide portfolio of 25 properties.
Description
As the Modernisation Project Manager, you will play a key role in driving and delivering the Campus Modernisation Programme across the UK region.
Reporting directly into the Modernisation Programme Manager, you will display good management and leadership skills, be qualified and have a strong background in project delivery of high value multi disciplined CAT A and B fit outs.
You integrate all mechanical, electrical and building services asset data and equipment to drive initiatives from the initial concept and design stage through to operational handover, having responsibility for the strategic technical planning and management of all critical building assets, lifecycles and compliance.
Embracing a collaborative environment you will lead regular project meetings, delivering a clear and consistent message of project delivery, objectives and behaviours aligned to the business culture.
Roles & Responsibilities
- You will manage the delivery of all daily tasks and activities ensuring all project requirements are met within agreed timescales, budget and quality of service & standard.
- You will ensure that the project management system has accurate and comprehensive records that are aligned to processes, lifecycle, regulations, governance and quality assurance.
- Provide effective cost control by monitoring spends against allocations, offering monthly insights for efficiencies, risks and variations.
- Measure, manage and report supplier performance against agreed contractual agreements and design to ensure effective, safe and compliant delivery throughout the project.
- Hold weekly project meetings, producing high level progress reports and status.
- Maintain regular and effective communication with site colleagues, support functions and senior stakeholders
- Ensure the Health & Safety management system and processes are fully compliant throughout the term of the project and at the forefront of all decision making.
Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of project managing and delivering multidisciplinary construction fit out projects and new builds ideally within the education or retail sectors
- Minimum of 5 years\’ experience within a Mechanical Engineering or Electrical project manager role.
- Excellent understanding of M&E design
- Managing projects through construction software.
- Good understanding of project methodologies, scheduling and phased acceptance.
- Good understanding of tender processes.
- Understanding of Department of Education frameworks, compliance and requirements for inspection readiness.
- Understanding of JCT D&B contracts.
Job Offer
