About Our Client
Management Accountant required for a reputable and well known manufacturing and distribution business that is based in the UK and Ireland.
Job Description
Key responsibilities include managing financial reporting, overseeing inventory, fixed assets, receivables, and expenses, and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. You\’ll also be responsible for cost management, balance sheet reconciliations, and assisting in system enhancements to streamline processes and improve automation.
Financial Reporting & Accounting:
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting.
- Oversee key financial processes for inventory, fixed assets & depreciation, receivables, provisions, and expenses.
- Support period-end reporting, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Provide variance analysis and financial insights to support decision-making.
Operational & Cost Management:
- Oversee FTE and overhead cost management, ensuring efficiency and cost control.
- Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and financial records.
- Manage stock and fixed asset (FA) reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Process Improvement & System Optimisation:
- Support the new Financial Controller in identifying and implementing process efficiencies.
- Work towards reducing manual work by leveraging system enhancements.
- Assist in the transition to more automated reporting solutions.
The Successful Applicant
You will be Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant experience.
In addition advanced excel and financial modelling skils are required, as well as excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
What\’s on Offer
A salary of circa £50,000 – £55,000 is on offer, as well as wide range of benefits such as life assurance, 25 days holiday rising to 30 days (with service) and retail discounts.
