Responsibilities:
- Ensure research they fund is innovative, impactful, and implemented addressing key challenges
- To be the organisational expert on research funding and associated governance
- Identify and scope new opportunities for the charity\’s research activities and outputs
- Foster relationships with important health sector stakeholders and the scientific community
- Engage with wider research networks to enhance collaboration and knowledge exchange
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of the EDI strategy on research outcomes and make necessary adjustments to enhance inclusivity
The Successful Applicant
Head of Research

Essential:
- Extensive experience in research programme management and commissioning research including peer review processes
- Proven ability to manage budgets and complex projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- Presenting research and complex data to a range of audiences
- Experience in leading patient engagement initiatives and EDI strategies within a research context
- Line management of high performing team including recruitment and performance management as required
