About Our Client

The client is a private equity backed business that has been experiencing major growth with further forecast.

Job Description

Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Lead a small team to prepare monthly and annual divisional and consolidated management accounts and financial statements for the group.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Assist with group-wide audits, liaising with external auditors.
  • Coordinate month-end close processes across group entities.
  • Maintain and reconcile intercompany balances.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure statutory accounts are filed on time for all group entities.
  • Monitor and improve financial controls and accounting procedures.
  • Ensure tax compliance (e.g., VAT, corporation tax), working with advisors.
  • Implement changes in accounting standards and assess group-wide impact.

Business Support

  • Work closely with the transactional finance team and local business leads to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.
  • Provide support in the integration of new acquisitions into the group reporting structure.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis at group level.
  • Support system improvements and automation projects.

Ad-Hoc Projects

  • Participate in due diligence and post-acquisition integration activities.
  • Assist with board reporting, investor packs, and strategic analysis.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)

Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of post-qualification experience in a similar role
  • Experience in group consolidations and multi-entity reporting
  • Experience with ERP/accounting software

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS or UK GAAP
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
