Michael Page are proud to be partnering with Radius Systems to support in the next phase of enhancing their Business Intelligence & Data Management capabilities. As part of this evolution, they are seeking to appoint a newly created role of Business Intelligence & Data Manager. They are looking for an experienced and commercially minded individual to build and lead a scalable BI function that delivers high-quality insights across the business. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will take ownership of data, reporting, and analytics - transforming multiple data sources into a single, trusted source of truth. You will play a critical role in enabling better decision-making by delivering clear, actionable insight to senior stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys operating in a growing organisation, where they can shape the BI function from the ground up and influence how data is used across the business.
Alongside this, the role will be responsible for master data management and delivering a master data strategy supported by clear data governance, policies and practices for communication across the business. This will move the business to a disciplined approach for data capture and usage. The business has tasked the SLT with a master data project, within which this role will become a key stakeholder and influencer.
Key Responsibilities
- Creation and ownership of BI model, dashboards and data, consolidating the output of multiple data sources, ERP, MES, Excel, and other systems
- Develop architecture required to build a single source of truth that provides the data model for all analytics
- Establish and lead master data management practices, working with senior stakeholders to create a robust master data strategy, defining data quality rules and own the standards for data governance
- In conjunction with the business define and own core KPI's to report, including regular reviews to ensure KPI's in use remain relevant
- Drive adoption of dashboards across senior leadership and managers within the business, reducing manual reporting through automation and standardisation
- Provide insight led recommendations that influence commercial and operational decisions
- Partner with the sales and commercial team to give them visibility, insight and control over sales pipeline, forecast accuracy, sales target attainment, sales productivity alongside guiding them in the identification of risks and opportunities
- Work closely with IT to leverage existing systems such as Syspro and Qlikview, automate data pipelines and reporting processes
Profile Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, in Business Intelligence, Analytics or business reporting roles
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on analytics in a quantitative subject, such as business administration, computer science or data analytics
- Advanced SQL skills, and a strong working knowledge of power query and ETL processes, alongside advanced excel skills
- Good working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, Power BI, Tableau or equivalent, and data visualisation techniques
- Demonstrable full end to end experience of gathering and organising the data to develop and deliver BI solutions and dashboards
- Experience of providing business wide support, in particular experience of having worked closely with sales and (or) commercial teams would be beneficial
- Ability to manage stakeholders, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to understand complicated information, distil it and make it understandable for stakeholders
- Strong presentation and communication abilities, able to translate technical outputs into business language
- Ability to be pragmatic with experience of growing less structured organisations
- Experience gained in a manufacturing environment would be highly beneficial
