We are seeking a data and reporting expert embedded within the finance function to modernise reporting and analytics capabilities. This role will focus on transitioning finance from Excel-heavy processes to scalable, automated, and insight-led reporting using Power BI.

Description

  • Act as the go-to data and reporting expert within the finance team
  • Assess and streamline existing Excel-based finance reports
  • Design and deliver Power BI dashboards tailored to finance and commercial stakeholders
  • Extract and model data from Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
  • Translate finance requirements into clear, scalable data solutions
  • Improve reporting automation, accuracy, and accessibility
  • Work closely with FP&A and senior finance stakeholders to enhance insight generation
  • Drive best practice in data structuring, governance, and reporting

Profile

  • Strong experience operating as a data/reporting specialist within a finance environment (FP&A, finance analytics, etc.)
  • Advanced Power BI skills (data modelling, DAX, dashboard design)
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
  • Strong understanding of finance reporting, metrics, and processes
  • Advanced Excel skills (legacy reporting transition)
  • Ability to bridge the gap between finance and data/technology
  • Highly proactive, able to work autonomously and influence stakeholders

Job Offer

Day rate ranging from £450 to £550, depending on experience. 3 month contract initially. Hybrid working - based in London (Shoreditch).
