This is a rare opportunity to define and deliver an IT and business transformation strategy within a purpose led organisation at a pivotal point in its journey. You will shape a clear and practical roadmap for modernising systems, improving services, and enabling meaningful change for local communities.
Our client is a well established, values driven not for profit organisation supporting thousands of customers across the North West. With a strong commitment to community impact, they provide essential services that improve lives and create opportunities for people to thrive. Following recent growth and organisational change, the organisation is now focused on modernising how it operates. Significant investment has already been made in core systems and service delivery, and the next phase is to strengthen technology capability and embed sustainable, organisation wide transformation. The focus is on building on that existing investment and making sure it delivers consistent outcomes in practice. The culture is diverse, inclusive, and highly collaborative, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, shared purpose, and supporting people through change.
This is a broad and influential leadership role with responsibility across IT and Transformation. The core purpose is to bring clarity and direction to an evolving technology landscape, defining a practical IT and digital strategy and roadmap that supports wider transformation objectives. You will lead a capable and established team, ensuring day to day IT services remain stable, resilient, and effective, while driving longer term improvements across systems, data, and ways of working. A key part of the role will be shaping how technology enables frontline services, improving integration across core platforms, and helping the organisation make better use of data to support insight led decision making. Alongside this, you will play a central role in business transformation, working across the organisation to embed new systems, improve processes, and support colleagues through change. This is an opportunity to join at a point where key platforms are already in place, and where strong leadership is needed to unlock value, reduce complexity, and create a clear and sustainable path forward.
We are looking for a proven technology and transformation leader who can balance strategic thinking with delivery focus. You will bring:
- Experience leading enterprise IT and business transformation within a complex organisation
- Senior leadership experience at IT Director, Digital Director or equivalent level
- Strong knowledge of IT services, infrastructure, enterprise systems, cyber security, and data strategy
- A track record of delivering large scale change and service improvement programmes
- Experience modernising and simplifying legacy technology environments
- Strong governance, commercial and risk management capability
- The ability to influence at Board and Executive level
- Experience leading organisational and cultural change
- Strong people leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience within housing, regulated industries, public sector, or customer focused operational environments would be advantageous
Most importantly, you will be a pragmatic and empathetic leader who combines strategic capability with a strong focus on service, people, and outcomes.
