Job Description

Michael Page are delighted to exclusively partner with our client to recruit a Reporting Accountant. As Reporting Accountant you will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting by delivering insightful analysis, supporting compliance, and providing financial oversight of business projects, while working closely with the GBS team to review and validate transactional outputs.

Description

The successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:

  • Project lead on system implementation – with a focus on developing a system of controls & policies across our offices
  • Acts as the key finance point of contact for all tax-related matters, coordinating with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and compliant tax reporting, while maintaining oversight of tax risks, filing deadlines, and the integration of tax planning strategies into the financial reporting process (including R&D and patent box claims).
  • Prepare & analyse monthly cash flow forecasts, and actively managing working capital
  • Responsible for overseeing the financial tracking, reporting, and control of business projects to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
  • Supporting the company with CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) implementation, ensuring disclosures are accurate, compliant, and integrated into the broader sustainability reporting framework in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Technical accounting lead – Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and preparing technical papers for asset accounting
  • Timely reporting of financial statements, including corporation tax input and coordination of all audit visits.
  • Ad hoc duties when required.

Profile

The successful candidate will likely have the following profile:

  • CA qualified (ICAS preferable)
  • Solid understanding of financial and management accounting principles
  • Strong working knowledge and application of Microsoft Excel
  • Proven relevant experience preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in project accounting or supporting project-driven organizations is preferred
  • Able to work under high pressure with the ability to make objective decisions based on informed data.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills expressed as the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the business, internally and externally.
  • Strong planning skills.
  • Proactive and responsive.
  • High personal integrity.
  • Self-starter and willing to do what's needed.
