We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to excel as an Accountant in the Financial Services industry. The successful candidate will oversee financial activities, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and contribute to financial planning strategies.

Description

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with management in the planning and preparation of budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and procedures.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.

Profile

  • A professional accountancy qualification, ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, Etc.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and excellent spreadsheet skills.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulatory legislation.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and prioritise work.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency.

This role is mostly office based in Glasgow.
