Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead their East Midlands sales team, drive revenue growth, and expand market share within the assigned region. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. This role requires a strong leader with excellent commercial acumen, a deep understanding of the Industrial Distribution industry and the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing sales team.

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a regional sales strategy aligned with our client's overall business objectives to drive revenue and market growth.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals to exceed performance targets and drive customer engagement.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, identifying their needs and providing tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Sales Performance & Reporting: Track and analyse sales performance metrics, provide regular reports to senior management, and adjust strategies as needed to meet objectives.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and product teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and customer solutions.
  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging extensive product portfolio and value-added services.

Profile:

  • Proven experience in leading a Sales team to success, achieving high productivity levels and driving growth.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to develop sales team through coaching and mentoring.
  • Ability to assess and use data to identify key trends in the market, and use to the business's advantage.
  • History of selling Components to industrial sectors would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region.
