As Process Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for driving and enhancing process safety standards across a key manufacturing site based in Kingston Upon Hull.

Our client is a globally recognised manufacturing organisation with a strong reputation for safety, sustainability, and operational excellence. Operating at scale across international markets, they play a critical role in supplying essential products to a diverse customer base.

The Process Safety Engineer will be responsible for, however not limited to:

  • Providing specialist technical support across process safety within site operations and capital projects
  • Leading and facilitating process hazard analyses, including HAZOP, LOPA, and Process Risk Assessments
  • Supporting and governing Management of Change (MoC) processes to ensure effective risk mitigation
  • Partnering with cross‑functional teams to embed best‑in‑class process safety tools and methodologies
  • Driving improvements in process safety performance, risk reduction, and asset reliability
  • Leading or supporting incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Ensuring delivery of risk assessments and associated actions in line with agreed timelines
  • Developing and implementing performance metrics, reporting frameworks, and governance structures to strengthen safety performance

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven knowledge of process safety principles and regulations.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to identify potential risks.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
