Client Details An organisation within the industrial and manufacturing sector, based in North Berwick.
Description Support the delivery of new build and conversion projects from bid stage through to commissioning and testing.
Provide technical expertise on power and propulsion equipment, helping select, evaluate and manage critical systems.
Work closely with engineering teams, suppliers and class societies to ensure equipment performance, compliance and reliability.
Produce and review technical specifications, drawings, manuals and engineering documentation.
Support operations by troubleshooting equipment issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
Provide technical guidance to procurement teams on spare parts, equipment compatibility and alternative solutions.
Attend factory acceptance tests, commissioning activities and trials, with occasional international travel.
Take ownership of the Power & Propulsion equipment group and contribute to strategic equipment and lifecycle management decisions.
Profile A successful Mechanical Engineer should have: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
