We are looking for a confident and proactive Finance Business Partner to join a fast paced, operational environment supporting a diverse portfolio of departments. This is a highly visible, front facing role where you will work closely with budget holders across the organisation, providing expert financial insight, challenge and support to ensure effective use of resources.

You will be responsible for owning a portfolio of budgets, delivering clear and meaningful financial reporting, and acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders with varying levels of financial experience. Those who have a professional accountancy qualification and excellent relationship building skills are essential for this role. First/ second time movers from practice will be considered.

  • Manage and support a portfolio of budget holders
  • Monthly budget monitoring and forecasting
  • Detailed variance analysis and financial reporting
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Providing financial advice and guidance to non-financial partners
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, accessible insights for non-finance stakeholders
  • Support budget holders with financial planning, especially those new to managing budgets
  • Complete core financial processes including accruals and prepayments
  • Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and improved financial practices
  • Collaborate closely with central finance and wider teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting
  • Attend meetings as the finance representative, providing real-time support

A successful Finance Business Partner should have:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting or business partnering
  • Experience working in a large or complex organisation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • First move from practice considered
