Reporting to the UK Head of Real Estate Income with leadership of a specialist team focusing on value creation asset management, portfolio strategy and leasing across a significant portfolio (c.3,000 assets). Autonomous role, oversight of all strategic leasing on mid-to-large ticket assets to deliver sustainable and incremental income growth.

Description
- Develop and execute a national asset management and leasing strategy to drive sustainable income growth and long-term value enhancement.
- Identify and unlock value across underutilised or complex assets through repositioning, re-letting, and targeted asset interventions.
- Provide robust commercial insight to inform and influence broader property and organisational strategy.
- Lead key leasing activity across the portfolio, including new lettings, renewals, regears, rent reviews, and lease expiries.
- Negotiate complex commercial arrangements, balancing income optimisation, risk management, and operational considerations.
- Provide clear direction to external advisors on high-value and strategically significant transactions.
- Take ownership of rental income performance, partnering with Finance and operational teams to manage arrears, collections, and income risk.
- Maintain comprehensive oversight of lease events, risks, and opportunities through structured forecasting and forward planning.
- Uphold strong governance standards and ensure a disciplined approach to risk management across the portfolio.
- Act as a trusted commercial advisor to senior stakeholders across Property, Finance, and Operations.
- Develop and present clear, data‑led recommendations to executive leadership and Board‑level forums.
- Provide constructive challenge to drive informed decision‑making and achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
- Lead, develop, and performance manage a team of Asset Management professionals.
- Build and sustain a high‑performing, commercially focused team with clear accountability, capability development, and succession planning.
Profile
- A Real Estate / Built Environment Degree
- MRICS qualification
- Significant track‑record in brokering leasing deals with strong negotiation skills
- Significant experience in commercial asset management.
- Proven track record of delivering commercial decisions across competing priorities.
- Strong understanding of L&T: leases, rent reviews as well as real estate valuation and portfolio strategy.
- Lead and develop a team of 3 Asset Managers, ensuring capability and performance aligned to portfolio priorities.
- Accountable for the team's budget, ensuring cost control is aligned to income and strategy.
- Credible senior operator, able to influence and challenge at leadership level.
- Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams.
