Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the commercial success of a specialist containment and isolator equipment portfolio across the UK, with the opportunity to support wider European market development.

Operating as the lead commercial representative for the division, you will be responsible for generating new business, developing strategic customer relationships and securing high-value capital equipment projects within pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.

  • Driving sales of containment isolators, aseptic isolators, downflow booths, sterility testing systems and associated cleanroom technologies.
  • Developing and executing strategic business plans to achieve short, medium and long-term revenue growth.
  • Identifying and converting new opportunities within pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology and life sciences organisations.
  • Managing complex sales cycles involving engineering, manufacturing, quality, validation, procurement and site leadership stakeholders.
  • Building and growing key account relationships with both existing and prospective customers.
  • Developing and managing channel partners and distributor networks where required.
  • Working closely with UK leadership and international stakeholders to support customer projects and commercial objectives.
  • Providing market intelligence, competitor insight and strategic recommendations to support future business expansion.

We are seeking a commercially driven business development professional with a proven track record of selling complex capital equipment into pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.

  • Demonstrable experience selling pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, containment systems, cleanroom technologies, aseptic processing equipment or related life sciences solutions.
  • Strong relationships across pharmaceutical manufacturing organisations, including engineering, production, manufacturing, quality, validation and procurement stakeholders.
  • A successful history of delivering new business growth and managing strategic accounts.
  • Experience leading long, consultative sales processes involving multiple decision-makers and substantial project values.
  • A strong technical appreciation for pharmaceutical process equipment and regulated manufacturing environments.
  • The ability to operate independently whilst collaborating effectively with international teams.
  • Previous experience with containment or isolator technologies would be highly advantageous but is not essential.

Candidates must be based in the UK and willing to travel extensively across customer sites.
