The role holder will provide strategic leadership and lead the asset management strategy and commissioned works for this housing provider. You will lead and facilitate the development of the council's asset and investment strategy.

Our client is a leading Greater Manchester housing provider who oversees the management of over 15,000 properties around the area.

Provide strategic leadership for the strategic asset & investment team, to contribute to the achievement of strategic priorities to deliver high quality services that include:

  • Lead accountability for the £25m annual capital programme
  • Lead accountability for developing the capital programme for the HRA 30 year business plan
  • Lead accountability for ensuring the accurate and timely condition surveying of £1bn stock portfolio
  • Lead accountability in developing and leading the delivery of Building Safety, Decent Homes, Zero Carbon and Environmental Works for £1bn portfolio
  • Lead officer in developing the council's HRA strategic asset management and investment strategy and programme, working in partnership with the political and senior executive, partners, contractors and residents.

A successful Interim Head of Asset Management Investment should have:

  • Significant social housing knowledge and understanding of public services delivered at a place level and the structural, legislative and policy context within which these services operate.
  • An understanding of the national and regional policy context for local government and social housing
  • Previous managerial experience within a social housing environment
