This is a fantastic opportunity for a CAD Engineer to join a specialist temporary works consultancy in a role that will play a key role in developing project designs as well as elevating the design standards of the business.
This opportunity is a newly-created role within a specialist consultancy delivering temporary works services to main contractors across London & the South East. The business has a secured pipeline of work spanning refurbishments, MEP fit outs, data center builds, etc. and is currently growing their offering through design and coordination services. They offer hybrid working, can offer flexible or part-time working arrangements, and support tailored development plans for their team.
This newly created CAD Engineer role will support a team of specialist Temporary Works Coordinators & Designers. You will be responsible for both elevating the design standards of the business as well as increasing the quality of project designs. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Interpretation and understanding of design briefs
- Preparation of general 2D & 3D drawings in line with company design procedures
- Production of temporary works drawings and submissions
- Assisting in scheduling and maintaining a drawing programme to meet project timeframes
- Assisting with any relevant project documentation
- Day-to-day support of the wider team
A successful CAD Engineer should have:
- A degree in a related field such as Engineering, Architecture or Design.
- Proficiency in using CAD software and other relevant tools.
- Some experience of construction project design work (engineering/temporary works is advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
A salary between £35,000-£45,000 (depending on experience)
Pension scheme
£1000 towards CPD per year
Travel expenses covered, when relevant to the role.
