Description

The BMS Engineer will

  • Maintain, monitor and optimise Building Management Systems across a varied estate.
  • Deliver planned preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Investigate alarms and faults, diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Support commissioning activities, software modifications, controller configuration and system improvements.
  • Manage and coordinate specialist BMS contractors, ensuring quality and performance standards are achieved.
  • Work with building services teams to support HVAC and associated plant systems.
  • Support network connectivity and communications protocols including BACnet, Modbus, M-Bus and KNX.
  • Contribute to energy reduction initiatives and building performance improvements.
  • Assist with BMS upgrades, extensions and innovation projects, including digital building technologies.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to colleagues and stakeholders.

The successful BMS Engineer candidate will possess strong experience working with commercial or industrial Building Management Systems and will be confident carrying out maintenance, fault finding and system optimisation activities.

They will have a sound understanding of building services systems and controls, alongside the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

You will ideally have

  • A relevant qualification in BMS, automatic controls, heating and ventilation, electrical installation or a related discipline within real estate and property.
  • Experience working with BMS software, graphics and control platforms.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and building services operations.
  • Experience diagnosing faults on electrical and control systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to improving system performance, energy efficiency and operational resilience.
  • A full UK driving licence.
