We are recruiting for a Supplier Development Engineer to enhance procurement and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the industrial/manufacturing sector, with a focus on supporting suppliers to improve their performance, quality and reliability.
Identifying potential suppliers and conducting evaluations to assess their capabilities.
- Conducting regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Addressing and resolving any supplier-related issues or discrepancies.
- Reporting on supplier performance metrics to management.
- Assess risk to Supply Chain, maintaining contingency plans for critical suppliers.
A successful Supplier Development Engineer should have:
- A degree in Engineering/other relevant subject
- Knowledge of the industrial/manufacturing sector and its supply chain processes.
- Proficiency in supplier evaluation and development techniques.
- Proven experience in problem solving/root cause analysis (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing)
