The Buyer role is crucial to the Procurement & Supply Chain department of our client in the entertainment industry. In this role, the successful candidate will contribute significantly to the team, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and quality suppliers are sourced.

Our client is a large organisation in the Leisure, Travel & Tourism industry. They are renowned for their commitment to providing top-quality services to customers across the UK. Their headquarters are located in Manchester, where they foster a collaborative and professional work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Source, negotiate, and purchase goods from both local and overseas vendors.
  • Evaluate vendor's quotation to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications required for the project.
  • Advise internal and external purchasing Terms & Conditions issues.
  • Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
  • Plan and manage inventory levels of materials or products.
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Conduct regular performance review with suppliers to drive continuous improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding procurement activities.

Profile:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in business, economics, procurement, or a related field.
  • Have previous category experience in any of FM, utilities and operations.
  • Proven experience in a similar procurement role within the entertainment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and vendor management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant procurement software.
