Description
As the Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing materials, goods and services while managing a portfolio of suppliers and ensuring requirements are delivered in line with business needs.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of suppliers and raising purchase orders based on MRP requirements.
- Ensuring the on-time delivery of materials and expediting purchase orders where required.
- Developing strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting competitive tenders, sourcing activity and commercial improvement projects.
- Identifying supply chain risks and working with the wider team to mitigate potential disruption.
- Supporting new supplier onboarding and supplier transitions.
- Resolving supplier issues relating to delivery, pricing and commercial terms.
- Supporting New Product Introduction and associated supply chain requirements.
- Monitoring and reporting supplier performance, KPIs and purchasing data.
- Identifying opportunities for process and continuous improvement across purchasing activities.
Profile
The successful Buyer will ideally have:
- Previous experience within a buying, purchasing or supply chain role.
- Strong experience using MRP/ERP systems within a purchasing environment.
- Experience managing suppliers and building effective commercial relationships. xgikmsk
