Client Details Our client is a prestigious organisation with a large real estate asset sitting at the intersection of energy, infrastructure, commercial transactions, regulation, public policy and environmental stewardship.
Description The Legal Director will be responsible for delivering (and ensuring the delivery by others of) high-quality legal support and advice relating to all offshore related business activities undertaken by the group.
The role includes line management and development responsibilities, oversight of external legal panel relationships and collaborative support for senior legal and non-legal internal stakeholders, the Board and Executive.
You will: Lead on key strategic and complex legal matters relating to marine assets, energy projects (including offshore wind and renewables) and corporate/commercial transactions.
Provide proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented legal advice that effectively balances commercial opportunity with legal risk, taking into consideration other risk factors of relevance (e. reputational, financial, sustainability, regulatory and political).
Manage junior members of the Legal Team and relationships with external panel firms (driving cost certainty and reduction in external legal spend, ensuring value for money and effective use of resources).
