We are seeking a meticulous Employment Paralegal/NQ to join a supportive and friendly employment law team. Our client is a well-known regional law firm with offices in Stockport, and this role offers a great opportunity to work on a variety of employment law matters while contributing to the success of a thriving department.

You will be joining a close-knit team of five, spanning Supervising Secretary through to Partner level. In this Employment Paralegal/NQ role, you will support a respondent-focused caseload across both contentious and non-contentious matters. Working with an impressive roster of employer clients, you will gain exposure to high-quality work and have the opportunity to build long-term relationships.

As an Employment Paralegal/NQ, your duties will include:

  • Conducting matters on behalf of clients accurately, reliably and in accordance with the firm’s quality and risk management procedures (Lexcel and SRA Code of conduct).
  • Supporting fee earners with Employment Tribunal matters, including preparing Early Case Assessments, drafting ET3 responses, liaising with clients and the Tribunal, reviewing case papers, managing Preliminary Hearings, and assisting with the preparation of witness statements.
  • Attending Tribunal hearings when required to provide support and take notes.
  • Carrying out legal research to assist ongoing matters and contribute to case strategy.
  • Preparing hearing and disclosure bundles, organising documents and assembling files under the direction of fee earners.
  • Working collaboratively with team members to deliver a seamless service to clients.

A successful Employment Paralegal/NQ should have at least 12 months experience of working in employment law.
