Description:
- Key responsibilities include:
- Advise on complex risk, compliance, regulatory, ethical, data protection, and conflict-of-interest matters.
- Lead and manage risk and compliance projects, including advising on new business initiatives with divisional and business leads.
- Produce, analyse, and monitor risk and compliance data to identify strengths and weaknesses in processes.
- Develop and maintain firmwide risk materials, including precedents, policies, communications, and training; deliver tailored training across divisions.
- Monitor regulatory changes, escalate higher-risk matters, mentor junior team members, and support additional ad-hoc duties.
Profile:
- The successful candidate would have:
- Advanced knowledge of core law-firm compliance areas, including SRA Standards and Regulations, data protection, and anti-money laundering legislation.
- A collaborative approach and positive attitude, with a commercial mindset toward risk management.
- Strong decision-making skills developed through experience in a similar compliance or risk role.
