We are seeking a self-starting Commercial Contracts Specialist in Scunthorpe to build a new contracts function alongside the legal team. You will own drafting and managing B2B sales contracts and work directly with internal stakeholders and customers of all sizes.

Description:

  • Drafting, reviewing and managing B2B commercial contracts on the sales side
  • Leading contract negotiations with customers from independent retailers to large corporates
  • Asking the commercial and financial questions others overlook
  • Drafting product supply contracts including grocery supply agreements
  • Partnering proactively with sales, finance, legal and key stakeholders
  • Acting as a trusted commercial adviser to internal teams
  • Ensuring contracts are commercially sound and fit for purpose
  • Managing contract repositories and tracking key obligations
  • Providing clear commercial input and practical guidance across the business

Profile:

  • A solicitor or equivalent with 5+ years’ experience drafting and managing commercial contracts (sales side)
  • Experienced working independently outside a core legal team
  • Comfortable and confident in face-to-face customer engagement
  • Experienced in a large corporate/blue-chip environment
  • Commercially minded with the ability to balance risk and opportunity
  • Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills

Job Offer: You will receive a competitive salary of £70,000-£80,000 plus a 10% bonus and strong benefits package, including:
