Description
The successful candidate will support the Real Estate Finance team by providing legal and administrative assistance on a high volume of transactions. Responsibilities include:
- Opening new client files
- Liaising with clients and external solicitors
- Dealing with redemptions and further advances
- Drafting finance and security documents using established templates
- Conducting property searches
- Liaising with the Land Registry
- Managing completion and post‑completion formalities (including Companies House and Land Registry filings)
- Preparing lease reports and document summaries
- Coordinating document execution via electronic signing platforms
- Providing general administrative support such as document preparation, bundling and ad‑hoc assistance
Profile
The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months' experience working within a property or real estate finance team in a legal or professional services environment. A strong academic background, including a minimum 2:1 degree and completion of the LPC, is required. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail, confident managing competing deadlines, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, proficiency in MS Word and Excel, and experience using document management and e‑signature platforms are essential. Experience with legal practice management systems is desirable but not mandatory.
