We are seeking a Property Lawyer to join an established in-house legal team in South Yorkshire. You will support UK & Ireland property legal work on a 12‑month fixed term contract, working 3 days per week (2 onsite, 1 remote).

Our client is a major household name with an expansive UK & Ireland property footprint spanning retail, manufacturing, and distribution sites. They are recognised for operational excellence and collaborative working, offering professionals an inclusive culture and opportunities to contribute to high‑profile property projects. You will be part of a supportive legal function driving commercial and compliant outcomes across the organisation.

The Property Lawyer will be:

  • Handling a wide range of property legal work across the client’s UK & Ireland portfolio
  • Leading negotiations and completions for conditional Agreements for Lease, Leases, and Licences to Alter
  • Managing title reviews, searches, enquiries, due diligence, reports and summaries
  • Preparing and agreeing Deeds of Surrender and serving break notices
  • Advising on the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 and related statutory provisions
  • Reviewing and negotiating heads of terms for lease renewals and re‑gears
  • Preparing Deeds of Variation, Reversionary Leases and associated documentation
  • Managing SDLT and Land Registry submissions accurately and efficiently
  • Providing clear, pragmatic advisory support on day‑to‑day property queries

Qualifications:

  • A solicitor or equivalent with experience in property law
  • Skilled in managing a broad range of property legal matters
  • Commercially aware with strong organisational and communication skills
  • Comfortable balancing legal rigour with business priorities
  • Able to analyse issues and provide clear, best‑practice legal advice

Job Offer:

  • Competitive salary £60,000-£70,000 pro‑rata for part‑time working
  • 12‑month fixed term contract with hybrid working (3 days/week 1 remote, 2 in office)
