- Draft, review and negotiate contracts and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Support dispute resolution and manage any legal claims.
- Advise on intellectual property, data protection and employment law issues.
- Work closely with internal departments to address legal concerns.
- Assist with corporate governance and company secretarial matters.
- Keep the business updated on changes in legislation affecting the retail sector.
Profile
A successful in-house lawyer should have:
- Qualified legal professional status (e., solicitor or barrister).
- Experience in commercial law and contract negotiation.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance within the retail industry.
