We're seeking an In-house Retail and Private Banking Lawyer in Manchester to advise on legal and regulatory risk for a major retail bank. You'll be part of a large team supporting retail and private banking operations.

Description

The In-house Retail and Private Banking Lawyer will be:

  • Advising on legal and regulatory risks across retail and private banking products and services
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex banking documentation and agreements
  • Providing legal support for product launches, regulatory change and compliance matters
  • Working closely with business and risk teams to mitigate legal exposure and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Supporting risk-management strategy and governance for retail & private banking operations

Profile

The In-house Retail and Private Banking Lawyer should be:

  • A solicitor or equivalent with 5+ years PQE
  • Experienced in consumer product regulatory work and advising on insurance products or private banking ideally
  • Strong with regulatory risk, compliance, contract drafting and negotiation
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across business, risk and compliance teams
  • Able to manage complex legal issues in a fast-moving banking environment

Job Offer

Salary between £90 - 105k dependent on experience plus benefits.
