Description
The In-house Housing Solicitor will be:
- Managing a varied caseload of housing management matters, including anti-social behaviour litigation.
- Advising internal stakeholders on tenancy enforcement, possession proceedings and housing law issues.
- Representing the organisation in legal proceedings and working closely with external counsel where required.
- Supporting operational teams with proactive legal advice to minimise risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assisting with the development of policies, procedures and best practice across housing management functions.
Profile
The In-house Housing Solicitor should be:
- A solicitor or equivalent with ideally 2+ years' PQE in housing litigation and housing management matters.
- Experienced in anti-social behaviour injunctions, possession proceedings and tenancy enforcement.
- Knowledgeable in housing law, relevant legislation and court procedures.
- Commercially minded with the ability to provide practical, solutions-focused advice.
- An excellent communicator who can build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Able to manage a busy caseload independently while working collaboratively within a wider team.
