A Senior Legal Counsel opportunity with a Fortune 500 internationally-headquartered engineering and technology group with close to 300,000 employees globally and a growing European power infrastructure business. The role sits within its Europe Power Cable Legal Team and is based in London, reporting directly to the Head of Legal.
This position will play a key role supporting major international power cable projects and advising the business on high-value infrastructure matters. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading negotiations of complex EPC contracts from tender stage through to execution.
- Advising on and negotiating project documentation, including submarine and terrestrial cable contracts, installation agreements, and subcontract arrangements.
- Supporting tendering, project delivery and commercial decision-making across the power cable division.
Suitable candidates will be lawyers who can operate autonomously in a project-driven environment and have experience negotiating complex engineering or infrastructure contracts. Key requirements include:
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) or lawyer from a common law jurisdiction.
- Approximately 10+ years' PQE.
- Strong experience negotiating high-value commercial contracts.
- Direct exposure to EPC projects, particularly within power, energy, utilities, construction or major infrastructure with a major focus on Offshore / Subsea projects.
- Knowledge of FIDIC and/or NEC contracts.
