Job Description An opportunity for an experienced real estate lawyer to move into a highly strategic knowledge, innovation and legal technology role within a leading UK law firm. The position combines traditional knowledge leadership with responsibility for a major document automation and technology-enabled service delivery project. Our client is a well-established UK law firm with a strong reputation for advising major corporates, investors, developers and occupiers across a broad range of commercial legal matters. The firm is recognised for its collaborative culture, innovative mindset and investment in technology-enabled legal services. Its Real Estate team advises across commercial property, investment, asset management, corporate real estate support, development, construction and real estate disputes. The practice has a clear growth strategy and is investing heavily in innovation and new client solutions. The primary focus of the role will be supporting the development of a new technology-enabled portfolio management offering, including leading work on a large-scale document automation project across a range of real estate documents and workflows. Alongside this, you will support the wider knowledge strategy of the Real Estate group, helping lawyers stay at the forefront of legal, market and technological developments while driving innovation, training and client service improvements. Innovation & Legal Technology Lead document automation initiatives across key real estate workflows. Identify opportunities to utilise legal technology, automation and AI. Monitor legal and market developments affecting clients and the practice. Training & Thought Leadership Deliver and support technical training programmes. Produce client updates, insight articles and thought leadership content. Present to internal and external audiences on legal and market developments. Contribute to client training, marketing campaigns and profile-raising activities. Qualified lawyer with typically 8+ years' PQE in real estate. Strong technical expertise across UK commercial real estate matters. Interest in knowledge management, legal innovation and legal technology. Experience developing precedents, know-how materials and training programmes. Commercially minded with excellent project management capabilities. Collaborative approach with the ability to influence and build relationships across the firm. Lead role on a significant real estate document automation project.
