This is a strategic Knowledge Lawyer role within a leading Real Estate Disputes team, focused on driving technical excellence, consistency and innovation across contentious property work. You will act as a central point of expertise, shaping how the team delivers legal advice and responds to market developments.
As a Knowledge Lawyer, you will play a key role in supporting a high-performing disputes practice by developing, managing and sharing the team's legal know-how. Working closely with partners and fee-earners, you will help ensure that advice remains technically robust, commercially focused and delivered efficiently.
Key responsibilities:
- Acting as a technical advisor on complex real estate disputes and civil procedure issues
- Monitoring and analysing legal and market developments, and translating these into practical guidance, precedents and updates
- Producing and maintaining standard documents, playbooks and know-how resources
- Designing and delivering internal and client-facing training
- Supporting the development of litigation strategies and consistent approaches across key work types
- Driving improvements in knowledge management through legal technology and AI tools
- Contributing to thought leadership and client-facing materials in collaboration with BD and marketing teams
- Working closely with the wider Knowledge Lawyer community to support a firmwide KM strategy
The Team:
The team advises a broad client base including developers, investors, landlords, tenants, financial institutions and corporate occupiers. They work on a full range of contentious property matters, including:
- Dilapidations
- Lease renewals
- Rent review and service charge disputes
- Break options, forfeiture and possession
- Development and property management disputes
- Professional negligence relating to property
Profile:
- UK-qualified solicitor with circa 5+ years' PQE in Real Estate Disputes, or an experienced PSL/Knowledge Lawyer
- Strong technical experience across contentious property work
- Excellent drafting skills, with the ability to produce clear, practical and commercially focused materials
- Confident communicator, able to deliver training and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Highly organised, proactive and collaborative, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Interest in legal innovation, knowledge management and technology
