Collects material from client, opposing parties, and third parties (hard copies, electronic data, physical evidence) Tracks and progresses materials through the document management system or case milestones Manages logistics of production of documents - hard copy, images Responsible for case management in relation to documents and document management systems Substantive legal research Analyses documents and materials Performs factual research Coordinates preparation and filing of briefs and legal documents Checks legal cites for proper format, content and standing Proofreads documents Compiles appendices and exhibits/bundles Interacts with external entities such as: clients, government agencies, expert witnesses, consultants, other law firms, opposing parties and court personnel Manages preparation for witness statements and witness interviews Manages preparation of witness and other case related files Assists in preparation of witness interview outlines Manages trial and hearing preparation and support Compiles and tracks trial exhibits Prepares pre-trial documents Communicates with and coordinates witnesses, consultants, experts Assists team members in compiling material for business development, marketing, articles and pitches.

Profile A successful Litigation Paralegal should have: Knowledge of filing documents with the High Court and the Civil Procedure Rules essential.
