This is a senior interim position reporting to the General Counsel, supporting a high-performing legal team during a period of increased activity. You will provide strategic and operational legal advice across a broad range of matters, including financial markets and public law.

Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on debt capital markets, money markets and lending activities
- Supporting documentation for funding programmes and transactions
- Negotiating and managing complex financial agreements (e.g. GMRA/ISDA)
- Providing guidance on financial regulation and market developments
- Advising on public law and legislative matters
- Supporting commercial, regulatory and dispute-related work as required
- Instructing and managing external legal advisers
- Contributing to legal team development, processes and know-how
- Coaching and supporting more junior team members
Profile
You will be a qualified lawyer (England & Wales or equivalent) with strong technical expertise and a strategic mindset. You will demonstrate:
- Experience in financial services law and/or public law
- Strong analytical skills and sound legal judgement on complex issues
- Ability to deliver pragmatic, risk-based advice in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
- A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Experience with financial market documentation and regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
