The predicted salary is between 75000 - 125000 £ per year.
This role is a 6 month fixed-term contract to support the team by reviewing and resolving complex conflict results, advising fee earners, ensuring SRA STaRS compliance, providing training, and helping establish new conflict-clearing policies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Review and analyse complex conflict reports, advising on suitable resolution strategies.
- Work with fee-earners to resolve conflicts promptly and advise on conflict risks.
- Identify strategic conflicts arising from client types or ongoing workstreams.
- Support the development and implementation of conflict management policies and procedures aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Create educational materials and deliver training to staff and fee-earners on conflict management processes.
- Collaborate with the Risk Legal Team to mitigate conflict-related risks and ensure compliance with all SRA Standards and Regulations.
The successful candidate would have:
- Qualified lawyer (approx. 2-4 PQE) with strong knowledge of relevant rules/guidelines and, ideally, experience with US conflicts rules and Intapp Conflicts.
- Skilled at building effective relationships across all levels of the firm.
- Confident communicator, able to convey difficult messages clearly and constructively.
- Resilient, adaptable, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities through to completion.
- Experience working in a large City or international law firm.
