An international law firm is seeking talented and ambitious mid level Leveraged Finance Associates to join its growing London team. This is a long term career opportunity to work on high profile cross border transactions for top tier financial investors.

Our client is a leading global law firm recognised for advising on large and complex leveraged buy out financings for premier private equity sponsors, sovereign wealth funds and infrastructure investors. The London team comprises both English and New York qualified lawyers with deep expertise across European and US financing products including bank and bond structures, unitranche, senior and mezzanine loans, high yield bonds and back leverage arrangements. The firm operates as a fully integrated global practice, collaborating closely with colleagues in New York, Europe and Asia to deliver seamless, high quality advice.

The team is looking for experienced Associates to join its expanding Leveraged Finance Group in London. You will work on a broad range of international transactions including:

  • Acquisition financings, refinancings and strategic financings, particularly for private equity sponsors and other financial investor clients
  • Drafting and negotiating facilities agreements, intercreditor agreements and security documents
  • Leading on workstreams and managing execution on complex multi jurisdictional transactions
  • Working closely with colleagues across corporate, tax, competition and other transactional practices

Profile:

  • Solid leveraged finance experience on borrower, sponsor or creditor side at a leading international or top tier UK firm
  • Strong technical and commercial skills
  • Qualified in England and Wales or another common law jurisdiction
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage workstreams confidently
  • A proactive approach to client service, practice development and knowledge sharing
