Based in London, this role requires a proactive and organised individual to support high-level operations.
The employer is a well-established housing organisation operating with a strong presence in the London area. Currently seeking an Interim Governance Officer for 6 months.
The Fixed Term Contract Interim Governance Officer will be part of a wider Governance team and support and deputise for the Company Secretary in delivering a full range of company secretarial and governance support and advice to the Board, its committees, and subsidiaries. This will include:
- Delivering effective arrangements for ensuring forward planning, preparing agendas and board packs, minute taking and action tracking.
- Responsibility for statutory and regulatory filings and maintaining corporate records; signing and execution of documents; compliance with standing and financial orders.
- Leading and engaging as directed in the development of policies and procedures within the governance team and support the process for self-assessment of compliance with regulatory standards and adopted codes.
A successful Interim Governance Officer will have gained experience within a governance of company secretariat function and be comfortable within a busy company secretariat function. Ideally, experience of governance within a housing association. Experience supporting the meeting cycle. Understanding of statutory regulations. A CGI part or full qualification would be desirable but not a requirement. Must be able to start at short notice.
Competitive salary in the range of Β£36,000 to Β£40,000 per annum. Flexible Fixed Term Contract based in London but with hybrid working.
