Description
As an in-house Commercial Counsel, you will be working closely with senior lawyers and the executive team. Your role will include:
- Drafting and negotiating complex technology contracts
- Advising on intellectual property rights within the banking space
- Mitigating legal risks associated with banking operations
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver robust legal strategies
- Keeping abreast of all regulatory changes within the technology and banking law landscape
- Ensuring compliance with global and local technology banking laws
- Leading a team of junior lawyers and providing mentoring when necessary
Profile
A successful In-house Commercial Counsel should have:
- Registered solicitor in England & Wales
- A recognised legal qualification
- Proven experience within the field of technology and banking law
- Expertise in drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts
- A strong understanding of technology implementation contracts and other IT related commercial contracts
- Experience in handling complex negotiations using sound judgement to ensure the firms best interests are served
- A keen eye for identifying and mitigating legal risk
- Demonstrable leadership skills
