Due to increased business demand, my client is seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join the legal function on either a fixed‑term contract or day‑rate basis, providing hands‑on legal support to senior stakeholders across the organisation

The legal team plays a key role in supporting strategic business initiatives, contract negotiations, procurement activity, and regulatory compliance.

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including:
  • Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
  • Supplier and procurement contracts
  • Consultancy agreements
  • Saa S and technology agreements
  • Confidentiality agreements (NDAs)
  • Terms and conditions
  • Framework and outsourcing arrangements
  • Providing pragmatic, risk‑based legal advice to business stakeholders
  • Supporting strategic projects, commercial transactions, and business transformation initiatives
  • Advising on contractual risk, liability provisions, indemnities, and dispute management
  • Working closely with procurement, sales, finance, compliance, and operational teams
  • Supporting data protection and privacy matters, including GDPR compliance
  • Assisting with regulatory and governance requirements across the business
  • Managing external legal counsel where required
  • Developing and improving contract templates, legal processes, and playbooks
  • Delivering commercially focused legal guidance to enable business objectives while mitigating legal risk
  • Supporting senior leadership on complex legal and commercial matters as they arise
  • Profile
  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent jurisdiction)
  • 4+ years’ PQE, although all relevant experience will be considered
  • Strong commercial contracts experience gained either in‑house or within private practice
  • Proven ability to independently draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements
  • Experience advising senior stakeholders in a fast‑paced business environment
  • Strong understanding of contract risk management and commercial negotiation
  • Ability to provide pragmatic, solutions‑focused legal advice
  • Experience supporting procurement, technology, or sales functions would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of data protection and regulatory compliance matters
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands and manage a varied workload autonomously
