Overview: This is a 12‑month Asset Management Paralegal role supporting a leading Private Funds team at an elite US law firm. The role offers hands‑on exposure to fund formation, closings, regulatory matters and ongoing fund transactions within a high‑performing practice.
Client Details: Our client is an elite US law firm with a strong presence in the London market and a highly regarded Private Funds and Asset Management practice. The firm is known for its sophisticated client base, high‑quality work and collaborative team culture.
Description: The Asset Management Paralegal will support attorneys across all stages of private funds work, including fund formation, closings and portfolio transactions. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the drafting and review of fund documentation such as subscription agreements and private placement memoranda.
- Supporting regulatory compliance under UK and EU frameworks (including AIFMD).
- Assisting with regulatory filings and record‑keeping.
- Transaction support for fund closings, including managing checklists, coordinating document execution and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Client and investor liaison, legal and regulatory research, document and data room management, maintaining trackers, and providing general administrative support to the Private Funds team.
Profile: The successful applicant will have prior experience in asset management or private funds, ideally gained within a law firm environment. They will be detail‑oriented, organised and comfortable supporting complex transactions, with a good understanding of fund documentation and regulatory processes. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment are essential.
