The employer is a well-established legal firm within the professional services sector, recognised for its expertise in handling complex and high-value cases. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Flexible Associate/SA to join their Manchester team.
This role is ideal for an experienced Associate or Senior Associate who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working across a range of practice areas. You will support multiple teams on high-value, significant cases, providing hands-on experience, autonomy, and an opportunity to build a broad internal and external network. You'll play a vital role in meeting evolving client demands and will be valued for your adaptability, insight, and relationship-building skills. The flexible nature of the position also enables you to take breaks between assignments, supporting a healthy balance while ensuring continuity for our clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting on behalf of insurers and self-insured commercial organisations.
- Managing and assisting with a varied caseload of catastrophic motor, EL/PL and indemnity large loss matters.
- Providing representation at inquests and representing clinicians before their regulatory body.
- Conducting investigations, taking witness statements, and analysing medical records and expert reports.
- Identifying and securing evidence from claimant representatives.
- Complying with reporting, reserving and SLA requirements across multiple clients.
- Full file management including drafting reports, correspondence and documentation.
- Attending court hearings, CMCs, pre-trial meetings, and adhering to court timetables.
- Supporting Partners in delivering outstanding client service and strengthening relationships.
- Drafting advice and documents for clients.
- Handling interlocutory applications, CMCs and client meetings.
