Our client is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to support the firm through an exciting period of growth. This opportunity is ideal for someone with proven experience managing legal environments and leading high-performing teams with diverse personalities and motivations. The successful candidate will have strong capability in overseeing and enhancing day-to-day legal operations, driving efficiency.

Our client is a well-established, second-generation family-owned personal injury law firm based in Surrey. With a long-standing pedigree across a broad range of personal injury matters, the firm continues to build on its strong reputation for quality and client care.

Description

  • Review and manage tasks which a solicitor would be expected to undertake within the firm.
  • Managing a growing group of up to 50 staff including solicitors (Currently 26 staff).
  • Supporting fee earners in reaching their goals through guidance, management and training.
  • Manage risk associated with prospects of success on the firm’s caseload.
  • Manage disbursement risk on the firm’s caseload.
  • Review the cases where liability has been denied, pre-issue, to establish if we will support the matters to court.
  • Manage the paralegals in their endeavours insofar as dealing with the following: Submission of Claims Notification Forms/Letter of Claim, Reviewing the denial of liability.

Profile

  • A successful Practice Manager should have:
  • UK Qualified with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
  • Must have worked in personal injury or a similar field of law.
  • Must have an excellent understanding of the civil procedure rules and the pre-action protocols.
  • Has the ability to manage a team of junior lawyers.
  • Need to have experience of working with minimal supervision on personal injury matters.
  • A good understanding of the use of technology and artificial intelligence and its application to case management.
