An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join a leading Derivatives and Trading team in London, supporting a major client onboarding project focused on OTC derivatives. The role combines legal, project management and client-facing responsibilities within a fast-paced, internationally focused practice.
Our client is a highly regarded international law firm known for delivering top-tier legal advice across complex financial and transactional matters. With a strong reputation in derivatives and trading, the firm works with a global client base including hedge funds, financial institutions, asset managers and corporate clients, offering a collaborative and high-performance culture where individuals are encouraged to take ownership and develop their careers.
The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating the onboarding of new funds for OTC derivatives for a major client. This will involve managing end-to-end processes including KYC coordination, document negotiation, post-closing administration, LEI renewals and billing oversight.
You will liaise closely with external stakeholders such as hedge fund managers, investment banks, brokers and service providers, while also coordinating internally across legal teams. Working directly with partners and associates, you will help drive negotiations forward, ensure timelines are met and maintain strong organisation across multiple concurrent workstreams.
The role will also provide exposure to legal drafting and negotiation of trading and financing documentation, alongside opportunities to conduct legal research and contribute to broader transactional work within the derivatives and trading space.

You will demonstrate excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves regular interaction with international clients and counterparties.
We are looking for someone who is ambitious, proactive and eager to develop both legal and commercial expertise, with the confidence to operate within a high-performing team and contribute at a consistently high standard.
