Description

  • Deliver high-quality legal advice on construction matters, including contracts, disputes, and regulations.
  • Draft and review construction contracts, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide legal support for contentious and non-contentious construction cases.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal solutions.
  • Support senior team members with complex legal cases and negotiations.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in construction law and regulations.

Profile

A successful Construction Associate should have:

  • Qualified as a solicitor in Scotland or England & Wales, with at least 4 PQE.
  • Provide legal advice on the full spectrum of non-contentious construction matters, encompassing procurement strategy, tender processes, and the preparation and negotiation of construction documentation.
  • Strong familiarity with widely used standard-form construction contracts, alongside practical experience of collaborative contract models commonly adopted in UK public sector projects, as well as internationally recognised contract frameworks used on cross-border developments.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
