Our client is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lawyer (appx. 4+ PQE) to join an international financial services organisation on a 12 month FTC, providing expert legal advice and strategies. The ideal candidate will have worked within the financial services sector previously and have the ability to work independently on a number of contractual matters.

Our client is a global financial services broker operating in over 150 countries with some of the world's most well-known multinationals. Offering a collaborative platform that integrates local expertise with global reach, they focus on innovation, flexibility, and transparency in their work and empower their clients with the best for their employees.

Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Providing expert legal advice on insurance / re-insurance and wider financial services matters including drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of commercial contracts
  • Developing legal strategies to protect the company's interests
  • Ensuring legal compliance
  • Liaising and managing external legal counsel as needed
  • Participating in internal meetings to provide legal guidance with stakeholders
  • Assisting in dispute resolution procedures as needed
  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in insurance & re-insurance laws and regulations

The successful candidate will have:

  • 4+ PQE, qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales
  • Extensive knowledge independently handling a variety of commercial contracts, with prior experience in the financial services sector
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to commute into London 3 days per week

Salary appx. £70,000 to £100,000 depending on candidate experience. Additional benefits package. Hybrid working 3 days per week in central London.
