An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Legal Counsel to join a global leader in supply chain and logistics solutions in Leeds. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll lead on complex projects covering commercial negotiations, corporate, strategic business initiatives, and play a key role in driving growth across a diverse portfolio of sectors including retail, technology, healthcare, defence and public procurement.

The Senior Legal Counsel will lead on complex projects covering:

  • Negotiations on major outsourcing, operational services and infrastructure agreements
  • Drafting and negotiating a broad range of complex commercial contracts, including construction NEC/JCTs
  • Advising on automation, software licensing, technology and infrastructure projects
  • Managing vendor, supplier and asset leasing arrangements
  • Corporate funding and M&A
  • Providing legal guidance on TUPE, insurance and commercial risk matters
  • Advising on public procurement, sanctions and regulatory considerations
  • Identifying, assessing and mitigating contractual and operational risks
  • Managing disputes and claims through robust legal analysis and commercial negotiation
  • Monitoring legal and regulatory developments and providing practical business focused advice

A solicitor or equivalent with 10+ years PQE, experienced in complex commercial contracts and negotiations, trained within a leading law firm and/or multinational in house legal team. Comfortable managing a demanding and fast paced workload, experienced advising senior stakeholders and executive teams, commercially minded with strong business judgement and risk awareness, skilled in drafting clear, practical and commercially focused agreements, able to influence stakeholders and build trusted business relationships, experienced managing large scale projects and cross functional workstreams, collaborative, resilient and committed to continuous improvement.
