This role involves managing a caseload of catastrophic injury claims on behalf of Defendants for our client, a well known regional offices based in Manchester or Preston.

They are looking for a Catastrophic Injury Associate/Senior Associate to join their North-West teams.

  • As a Catastrophic Injury Associate/Senior Associate your duties will include:
  • Handle a caseload of complex catastrophic injury claims.
  • Provide clear and practical legal advice to clients.
  • Draft documents and correspondence with accuracy.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Attend court hearings and settlement meetings as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements.
  • Contribute to the team's overall success through knowledge sharing.

  • A successful Catastrophic Injury Associate/Senior Associate
  • Be a qualified Solicitor (or CILEX equivalent), between 3-7 years PQE.
  • Demonstrable experience and expert knowledge of Employers and Public Liability claims.
  • Expert knowledge of CPR and Insurance litigation processes.
  • Previous experience of advising commercial organisations and dealing with insurers.
  • Experience conducting their own advocacy/attending courts/tribunals.
  • Previous experience supervising Solicitors and support staff.
  • Previous experience using legal case management systems (e. g., Pf W) to support the delivery of services.
  • Proven experience of handling own caseload, working to and managing deadlines, alongside the capability to generate fees in accordance with agreed target.

  • Competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £600,000, dependent on the level of experience.
