This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Knowledge Lawyer to lead a well-established Corporate Transactions & Advisory knowledge team within a globally recognised corporate practice.

Alongside overseeing the team's strategy and operations, you will act as the firm's principal knowledge resource for company law and corporate governance, driving thought leadership, legal developments, training, innovation and AI adoption across the practice.

Description

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and manage an established team of Knowledge Lawyers and information specialists
  • Set and deliver the knowledge, training and thought leadership strategy for the corporate practice
  • Drive business planning and oversee delivery against strategic objectives
  • Lead collaboration with corporate governance and other specialist teams

Company Law & Corporate Governance

  • Act as the primary knowledge resource for company law and corporate governance matters
  • Monitor and analyse legal, regulatory and market developments
  • Produce client-facing updates, thought leadership and practical guidance
  • Respond to technical legal queries from lawyers across the business
  • Support partners involved with industry and professional committees
  • Contribute to consultation responses and engagement with policymakers and regulators

Knowledge Management

  • Oversee the firm's corporate know-how resources and knowledge databases
  • Ensure precedents, guidance notes and templates remain current and market-leading
  • Improve methods of capturing, structuring and sharing knowledge
  • Drive engagement with knowledge-sharing initiatives across the practice

Training & Development

  • Design and deliver training programmes on company law, corporate governance and legal developments
  • Provide regular technical updates to corporate and related practice groups
  • Support the ongoing development of lawyers across all levels of seniority

AI & Innovation

  • Help shape and implement the firm's legal technology and AI strategy within the corporate practice
  • Promote adoption of AI tools and innovative ways of working
  • Develop practical use cases that enhance efficiency, consistency and client service
  • Ensure the responsible and effective use of legal technology

Collaboration

  • Work closely with lawyers, knowledge professionals and business services teams both in London and internationally
  • Collaborate with corporate governance, business development, transformation and legal technology teams
  • Maintain strong relationships with the wider legal knowledge community and relevant external stakeholders

Profile

  • Qualified solicitor with significant experience as a Knowledge Lawyer, PSL or equivalent
  • Strong technical expertise in company law and corporate governance
  • Experience supporting corporate transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, reorganisations or broader corporate advisory work, would be advantageous
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring knowledge teams and strategic initiatives
  • Excellent drafting, analytical and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to communicate complex legal developments clearly
  • Demonstrable interest in legal technology, AI and innovation
  • Passion for knowledge sharing and supporting the development of lawyers across a leading corporate practice
